PhytoFairy is here to wish everyone a happy new year! Wishing you all an abundance of happiness and prosperity in this Year of Tiger!

Everyone must have enjoyed plenty of delicious delicacies and had a great catch up with friends and family and not to forget the mahjong game till late night. One whole week of eating and drinking, coupled with the hot weather and irregular lifestyle. Without questions, it will be quite challenging for us to get prepared for work, and our body will have some discomfort in the following days.

During this period, the minor condition that is most prominent among us is indigestion.

Enjoying sumptuous meals and having New Year pastries from time to time can easily cause gastrointestinal discomfort. The most common symptoms are bloating, indigestion and even stomach ache.

Especially sitting or lying down on the sofa after heavy meals may increase the burden on our stomach. Lying down after eating may affect the gastrointestinal motility of the stomach, allowing the contents of the stomach back up into the esophagus eventually affecting both digestion and absorption.

Therefore, we suggest a short walk after eating to aid digestion by promoting gastrointestinal motility to ensure foods are digested and absorbed easily.

The second most common symptom is inflammation.

In fact, it is not difficult to find that when we have some heaty food, coupled with the influence of hot weather might lead to the inflammation in the oral cavity such as ulcers in the mouth, sore throat and bronchial inflammation which may subsequently lead to coughs.

So, what should we do to avoid the heatiness?

Besides drinking more water, we may drink a glass of aloe vera juice too. The polysaccharides contained in aloe vera may help in wound healing, including ulcer caused by heatiness in the body, and also help to reduce the symptoms of inflammation.

In addition, aloe vera enzymes may also help in promoting the decomposition of food and reduce the burden on the stomach. A glass of refreshing aloe vera juice in hot weather could provide a cooling effect too!

Phyto Aloe Vera Whole Leaf Concentrate traditionally used to aid in digestion and relief of mild constipation.

That is all I want to share with you today! Other than wishing you a prosperous Tiger Year, I would like to remind everyone to take good care of our health! Wishing you an abundance of good luck in the Year of the Tiger~
